LASER EPILATION

The laser treatment is based on the principle of selective photothermolysis, i.e. the action of the laser beam on the brown tissue of the melanins, which is found in the bulb of the hair in the active growth phase. Darker and thicker hair is more suitable for the procedure, while lighter hair needs a greater number of sessions and the results might not be so pronounced.

The permanent destruction of the hair bulb occurs in the active phase of growth, in which about 15 to 20% of the total number of hair is present. A minimum of 5 to 7 sessions are required. The time interval between the individual procedures is very individual, depending on the specific area and ranges between 4 to 6 weeks.

Thanks to the Zimmer CRYO6 cooling, laser epilation with gentleLASE PRO U becomes painless. CRYO6 cooling makes laser epilation suitable even for clients with a lower threshold of pain.

In addition to hair removal, laser epilation also removes other complications associated with hair removal by other methods, such as hair growth, inflammation, scars and pigment flakes after stripping.

The ideal parameters for laser hair removal are light skin and dark hair. With lighter hair it might be necessary to absolve a higher number of treatments. The ideal time for laser epilation are autumn, winter and spring. People that don’t tan can also absolve the treatments in the summer.

The treated area is gradually covered by laser pulses. Depending on the scope of the treated area, the procedure lasts from 5 minutes (upper pen, beard) up to 60 minutes (whole lower limbs). The eyes of both client and caregivers are protected with special glasses during the whole procedure. Laser epilation is an outpatient procedure, always preceded by a consultation with an entry examination, during which the type of hair loss and the suitability of the skin for epilation will be assessed and evaluated.

Immediately after the procedure there may be a mild redness, which will go away most often within a few hours. After the procedure, the skin will be treated with a product containing calming and antiseptic substances. If necessary, they can also be used at home. After the procedure, we do not recommend to visit the swimming pool or sauna and it is more suitable to wash and shower with cold water. In case of facial procedures throughout the year and on the body in the summer months, it is necessary to protect the skin of the laser area with a product with a sun factor SPF 50. The treated area should not be exposed to the sun at least 2 weeks after the procedure.
